RIP

It's been a sad few weeks around here. There's something strange going on, and we've had some terrible losses in our family. First Cinder and Fireball (the firebellied newts) died mysteriously overnight.
Then while we were gone on vacation Jacob's gecko, Wiki Wiki, passed away. Aaron was afraid his gecko,Susan, would be next, so he let her go outside. We do still see her when she climbs on the windows to catch bugs at night that are attracted to the house lights.
Our little kitchen bar seems mighty sparse with just Brownie and the firebellied toads left. The toads are singing all the time now, making us wonder if they are lonely. The boys are campaigning daily for new pets, so don't be surprised of you come over and see a snake or some new creepy crawly.
